On the 14^th of August, school equipment was officially handed over to three schools, namely to Simeon Ocdol National High School, Basey National High School and Basey II Central Elementary School in the city of Basey in the Philippine province of Samar. The handover was also attended by representatives of Caritas Czech Republic.

Midwives in Mongu receive extra textbooks and tools

On the 24^th of July Caritas Czech Republic, together with Lewanika School of Midwifery, organised a ceremonial handing-over of study tools. The school’s headmaster, Mrs. Rosemary V. Mwanza, opened the ceremony with words of thanks and spoke about the significance of cooperation with Caritas Czech Republic in supporting obstetrics in the Western province.

Philippine rice producers to receive support

Since the typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines eight months ago, the affected areas have been going through a phase of regeneration. After supporting local schools, Caritas Czech Republic, which has worked in Western Samar from the beginning of the crisis, has also decided to support local farmers in the region.
