On the night of Friday 8 to Saturday 9 September, a catastrophic earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale struck Morocco. Almost 3,000 people lost their lives, thousands more were injured, and, unfortunately, the death toll will likely continue to rise. Funds raised from the appeal will help provide basic necessities of life such as safe shelter, hot food, water and clothing. It will also ensure the reconstruction of damaged areas if necessary.
