Afghanistan
The disaster in Afghanistan and Pakistan has already reached 160 deaths and many injured. The number is growing, while the material damage is still not calculated. Despite the fact that the epicenter of the earthquake was close to the city of Feyzabad, the capital of province Badakhshan in Afghanistan, more victims are reported in the neighbouring country, Pakistan.
Caritas CR had released 100 000 CZK from its crisis fund to help the victims of this disaster.
„Caritas Pakistan is providing help in affected areas and also monitoring the situation. Pakistan´s charity is going to be supported by other charities around the world, including the Czech one,“ Lukáš Labe, from Caritas CR announced today.
