Chechnya

Caritas CR has been active in the North Caucasus region since 2000, after the end of the second Russian-Chechen war. We originally provided humanitarian assistance to refugees in Chechnya and in Ingushetia. We also aimed to help restore the destroyed buildings and built a network of preschool facilities and carried out their operations. Later, we focused on the development of training centers for preschool children, education on HIV / AIDS, development projects in rural communities and restoration of livelihoods.

Currently, Caritas CR focuses on developing projects, preschool education, promotion of education and inclusion of disabled children. We continue to provide material support for Chechen underprivileged families.
