Caritas CR has been active in Pakistan since 2005. At that time, in cooperation with Caritas Switzerland, we built several schools. After devastating floods in August 2010, we joined to help the people of Pakistan who were expelled from their homes by the water. Through partner organizations, the aid was given to the Sangli (Shangla District) in the province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where it funded mobile medical teams and distribution of packages with non-food assistance. Later was our assistance focused on supporting livelihoods and improving the living conditions of people in flooded provinces.
