Food distribution took place in Hodo center following a collection in the Czech Republic to help people in Ethiopia, which was launched by Caritas CR as a response to long-lasting drought in the Horn of Africa. Food was given to vulnerable groups of the population in selected regions of Ethiopia, especially to women with children under five years of age. The selection of 570 beneficiaries was done by a partner organization, Ethiopian Catholic Secretariat (Ethiopian charity) in cooperation with local authorities. Local health centers keep records of children "levels of malnutrition".

Distribution of food, primarily flour and vegetable oil is related to the Somali government programme "Complementary food". Each selected family receives ten kilograms of flour for each child in the family. Local health centers also keep records of children "levels of nutrition".
