Cold and unsatisfactory conditions make life difficult for Syrian refugees in the countries they fled their homes for. They fled from the violence but now they face another crisis, the winter. In December, more than half a million refugees crossed the border into Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey and Iraq. Thousands more are still coming in today.

Caritas Jordan, whose photos can be viewed in this gallery, are providing assistance to Syrian refugees in Jordan. Caritas already distributed blankets, heaters, linens, towels, plastic mats, pads, mattresses, jerry cans, pillows, milk bags, school bags, school kits, hygiene kits and food.
