New vision – New life

On August 10th, the Homecare Association, which works in collaboration with Caritas Czech Republic, distributed 192 eyeglasses in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.

In the republican nursing home, 67 eyeglasses were distributed to the invalids and elderly people and 125 eyeglasses to the people who benefit from the  nursery care of “Homecare” Association. Caritas Czech Republic supports the Association on many projects. Each patient was examined by an optometrist and eyeglasses were provided based on the doctor’s assessment.

This event was possible thanks to the Czech Embassy in Chisinau, which provided financial support to the project started by the Homecare Association called “New vision – New life”. The main objective of the project is life improvement of elderly people through amelioration of their eyesight.

The representation of Czech Embassy in Moldova Daniela Dragalin and Daniela Moyzesova, the minister of Social, Labour and Family protection Valentina Buliga, director of Homecare Association Tamara Adasan etc. took part in the event.
