The final conference, in which the Caritas Czech Republic’s activities towards strengthening the social protection of children in Moldova were evaluated, occurred on Tuesday, 14th of June 2016, in Chisinau. Workers from the Caritas presented specially designed methods and gave examples of their uses in practise. This event commenced with the speech of Viorica Dumbrăveanu, Deputy Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Republic of Moldova.
Pavel Trousil from the Caritas Czech Republic and Zdeněk Krejčí, ambassador of the Czech Republic, were amongst the group of speakers. Participants included workers from non-profit organizations dedicated to child protection, the partner organization SocioPolis, employees of the local authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children, members of the district’s Department for Education, foster parents and journalists.
During the conference, an evaluator, Ana Palii, presented results proving the quality and benefit of the Caritas Czech Republic’s activities. Furthermore, she also presented the benefits for all 906 training participants and group discussions. And she showed alternative uses and benefits of the training syllabus, methods, and materials. Finally, she outlined a potential direction for the Social Protection of Children in Moldova.
''The sustained and continued occurrence of trainings should secure materials for experts who can work with vulnerable children on the basis of these materials,” Viorica Dumbrăveanu said.
Activities towards strengthening the system of social protection for vulnerable groups of children in Moldova have been supported by funds from the Czech Development Agency and from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic under the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid programme.
