Charita pro Ukrajinu (1)

The invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops in February 2022 and the subsequent war have dramatically affected the lives of the people of Ukraine. The war has driven more than 15 million people from their homes, both across the border and to safer parts of the country. Caritas Czech Republic has been helping since day one of the conflict. We have been helping to provide the affected people with the basic necessities of life, decent accommodation and psychological support. We support displaced people directly in Ukraine and refugees in Moldova and the Czech Republic.

Chisinau, Moldova. Fifteen years ago, Lena had to leave her job working as a  nurse in the Moldovan hospital department. Almost immediately, she started to work as a volunteer within a home care project, a project created by Caritas Czech Republic  from 2007 to 2010 which was financially supported by the Czech Development Agency.
