Caritas Czech Republic has helped refugees from Angola get better jobs as well as to people from Zambian through courses in professional skills in learning centres established in the Maukwayukwa and Meheba regions. It’s because most of the locals and the biggest number of Angolan refugees lives in this part of Zambia.

Caritas says that fighting in the Syrian city of Hassakeh has forced hundreds of people to flee. Mortar shells and gunfire were heard yesterday in the city centre. Jordan is currently hosting the 1.4 million Syrians, 500,000 Iraqis, 500,000 Palestinians and 35,000 displaced residents of Yemen. Caritas Jordan provides them with food, shelter, medical care, advice, training and other means of assistance. The number of people in need is staggering, but for each refugee who receives aid, a small victory is made.

With a grant of JOD1.2 million, The European Union is supporting Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians who suffer from the impact of the current crisis in the region. A total of 1,200 people are trained in life skills and practical, professional and technical skills in six different training locations of Caritas all over Jordan.
