Serbia

Slepa mapa_Srbsko_vyrezCaritas Czech Republic had a long-term presence in Serbia. Between 2003 and 2007, it provided assistance in several areas. It was involved in the renovation of a school in Belgrade, in training home care workers, in supporting Roma integration, and in strengthening interfaith dialogue. The aid later focused on the prevention of cancer among women, the provision of equipment for the hemodialysis department of the Belgrade University Hospital, and, in 2013–2014, on protecting children from domestic violence. In September 2015, Caritas Czech Republic allocated EUR 10,000 (approximately CZK 270,000) from its crisis fund to assist migrants in Serbia.

From February until the end of 2016, Caritas Czech Republic once again supported efforts to combat domestic violence in Serbia.
