Caritas for Nepal

Devastating flash floods have struck the Tibet-Nepal border region, severely affecting the northern parts of Nepal’s Rasuwa District. The disaster has claimed hundreds of lives, over one thousand peopleremain missing, and many families have lost their homes, belongings, and access to essential services.
In response, Caritas Czech Republic is launching the Caritas for Nepal appeal to support people affected by this disaster.
What are the current needs?
Many families lost virtually everything within a matter of minutes. The most urgent needs in the affected areas now include:

Our assistance reaches Nepal through the Caritas Internationalis network, of which Caritas Czech Republic is a member. Our key partner on the ground is Caritas Nepal, which works directly in the affectedareas and has a deep understanding of the needs of local communities. This allows aid to reach those most in need quickly and effectively.
The scale of the damage is enormous, and the situation is still evolving. Many families lost everything they owned within a matter of minutes. Through the Caritas for Nepal fundraising campaign, we aimto support both the immediate humanitarian response and the long-term recovery of affected communities.
