Technology in medicine
Healthcare and social services are essential pillars of social security. Due to poverty or lack of professionals, these services are often inadequate in developing countries. Caritas Czech Republic supports them in developing an effective system through innovation. The use of technology in medicine helps us to speed up the diagnostic process and get medical care to people in remote areas.
Modernising medicine and social care in Georgia
In Georgia, we are working with the Ministry of Health on systemic changes. We are improving access to cancer screening and joining the fight against the covid-19 pandemic. We are using a central electronic system to improve primary healthcare access. With the help of specialists, we are spreading awareness and increasing HIV testing rates. We are also expanding access and quality of care for children with autism spectrum disorder.
Health care in remote areas of Moldova
Moldova's health and social services are suffering due to workforce shortages. At the same time, Moldova's population is ageing, and many seniors lack quality care.
Thanks to the development of telemedicine, locals can benefit from remote health consultations. These services help people in remote regions and Moldova's overstretched health system.
