Sami Nouh Daboul is a persistent farmer from Iraq. His family are Assyrian Christians who were targeted by ISIS during its rule over Iraq. Caritas launches appeal to help flood-stricken Slovenia

Devastating floods hit Slovenia in early August. It affected more than two-thirds of the country and killed four people. The water destroyed or damaged many houses and public infrastructure. The estimated damage now stands at EUR 500 million. Caritas Czech Republic is releasing money from its emergency fund and has launched an appeal. The proceeds will go to Caritas Slovenia, which has been helping on the ground since the beginning of the crisis.
